A couple of Whooper Swans just about ready to make the plunge into the lake Tjörnin in central Reykjavík
I've been away now for 2-3 weeks. Been really busy, was trying to buy a new appartment (didn't go through), was working in a shipyard and had to wake up at 6 in the morning and by the time I got home it was already dark, was preparing my dads 70's birthday, then more work and part of the work out of town.
So things have really been busy.
Now back home again, and doing my regular job, so I should have time to do this again.
This is with my brand new 300 F4L - the reason why I've been working so much :) More soon.

Life goes in circles.
I work as a freelance tour-guide, and this time of year there is next to nothing to do, so I got one of my old jobs back. Metalworker in a shipyard, arcwelding mainly. So, this is a picture of my new/old workplace.
Explains why I have the skills to make the previous item :)
Started working there 20 yrs ago, at the tender age of 15 - you do the math :) and have been working there on and off ever since, but not for the last 5yrs though.
Will work there for the next few weeks until tourism picks up again, I'd guess about second half of next month.
So I guess some metal shots for my PAD next few weeks, and a lot of indoors stuff, since light might not be all that good after work. Well, actually by mid feb the day isn't so short anymore.

Been a real busy day, in everything but photography. Looked at an apartment, helped friend transport floor-material (parquet) up to his apartment (3rd floor) and went out for a drink with another friend. Also waxed my car and built a stand for lights. Photo of base of said stand. Took this photo after coming home after a few beers. THAT is not a good idea if you're submitting to DPC, but hopefully works better for a PAD.

Played around in PS with Curves for this one and I really like the effect. Real simple procedure, just slide with the center almost all the way to the L.

BTW the Auchentoshan is as lovely to drink as it is confusing to pronounce and write.

BTW 2: The outside of the case and bottle were used as props for my DPChallenge entry for New Year's Resolution III as Resist all Temptations. I would have reshot it with everything level and straight, but ran out of cigars. :)
